I love trying new cocktails and coming up with new ones with whatever I have laying around the house. I’m no expert and don’t really understand measurements, but damn can I make a good cocktail. For spring week, I knew I wanted to do something that was bright, fresh and fruity and sweet.
I also really wanted this to be easy to make and made with ingredients that you could easily find in the store or probably even have at home. I get it. No one wants to be searching the liquor store for some ingredient they’ve never heard before only to find to find out that it’s $50 and you need 1 oz of it for a recipe.
When I was looking around on Pinterest for inspo, I knew coming back to grapefruit. So, I drew inspo from the Greyhound and tweaked it a bit to make it elevated and modern. The rosemary simple sugar really sweeten the drink and give it a little kick of extra flavor.
Because the ingredients are really simple, you can also prep everything ahead of a party of the weekend and just need to add it to the shaker and sip!
Guys, this drink is GOOD so enjoy, and if you decide to try it out, make sure to tag me so I can see!
Like I mentioned above, I’m not an expert at measuring. I usually eye-ball everything, so adjust accordingly to your own taste. If you want it stronger, throw in more vodka. If you want more of that rosemary flavor, add more to the simple sugar. Want more bubbles, add more soda. You get it.
