Do I need to have a trial?
It isn’t mandatory, however it is highly recommended. A trial gives you time to discuss in person different makeup looks, and then have them recreated on you! I will take before and after photos, and record the makeup used.
When should I book my trial?
Brides typically book their trial anywhere from one to six months before the big day. Please note that your wedding date will not be held until the contract and deposit have been submitted.
Can I do a trial before I commit?
Absolutely! I want you to be 100% sure of your decision.
I am not sure what makeup look I want on my special day. Can you help?
Yes! The questionnaire provided is great place to start. I will also have photo of different looks to identify your likes. I can always start off with a more natural look and intensify look as you’d like.
How do I prep for my trial?
It’s recommended to wear a white or ivory top. Makeup looks different when wearing different colors, so it’s best to wear a top similar to your dress. It’s also recommended to have your trial on the same day as your hair trial and in the morning on a day when you are busy, so you can test the longevity. Also come with any photos of makeup looks you like. Please arrive with a clean face, free of any makeup, treatments or moisturizer.
What size party can you accommodate?
This primarily depends on the amount of time to get ready. I am comfortable doing about 6 applications for a wedding party. For parties larger than that, I will have an assistant.
Do you require a deposit/retainer?
Yes, we do require a deposit/retainer to hold your date for all wedding parties. I ask for $100 upfront that will be subtracted from the total. Your date will not be held without a signed contract and deposit.
When is my final payment due?
The final balance is due on the date of your event and must be paid on that day.
Is your pricing negotiable? Are there any discounts?
No. When you hire a professional makeup artist, you get what you pay for! You are paying for level of skill, on-location services and luxury products. Nicole gives the best possible pricing options for each service.
What methods of payments do you accept?
Nicole accepts cash or Venmo. Credit cards are not accepted at this time.
Can you help me with coordinating my wedding day timeline?
Of course! Once all of the the services have been decided upon, we can make sure that your timeline will be tailored to you wedding day needs.
Do you come to me on my wedding day?
Absolutely. That is part of the service you’re paying for. Travel fees will apply for locations 20 miles outside of the Pittsburgh metro area. See pricing list for details.
How should I prep my skin before my wedding day?
Any facial waxing/tweezing and treatments should be done over a week before your appointment. In the morning, gently wash your face with warm water. It isn’t recommended to apply any moisturizer or treatments, as Nicole will prep your skin before applying your makeup.
How far will you travel? What other travel-related expenses will I need to cover?
Nicole will travel as far as you need me to. Depending on how far she have to travel there may be an additional travel charge, hotel stay and food expenses for the day.
Do you do bridal hair as well?
No, Nicole focuses on makeup artistry. She believes that your wedding day will run smoothest when makeup and hair are performed by two separate artists.
