It’s no secret that I love testing out new beauty products. Along the way, I find new favorites and dupes for high end products. But, on the flip side, I also find products that I can’t recommend to you guys because they don’t live up their claims or all round just don’t work. These are the beauty misses.

I usually avoid talking about the beauty misses because I know that they may work for some people. If I give something a bad review, I don’t want you to think that I am bashing that brand. It’s just in an effort to remain fully transparent with you, I can’t recommend it.

Josie Maran Argan Liquid Gold Self-Tanning Oil

This was the worst smelling self tanner I’ve ever tried. The liquid is running and messy. The mitt it comes with moves too much and you can’t be precise. Terrible.

MineTan Micellar Water Pre-Shower Foaming Self Tan

I honestly still don’t understand what the purpose of this product is, or how it’s supposed to work. After doing much research on it, I think you’re supposed to apply it 10 mins before you shower and then a tan is magically supposed to appear? That didn’t happen.

TOO FACED Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder

I have no idea why this powder didn’t work for me. It is finely milled, and I loved the peachy undertone. However, no matter what concealer I used it would crease and my pores started to look big after a few hours.

Ardell Magnetic Lashes

I would chalk these up to the biggest beauty fail of 2018. I stalked Sally’s and the drugstores to get my hands on these when they came out. An employee at Sally’s actually told me not to buy them because people kept returning them, but I didn’t listen. These things were terrible. I am pretty damn good at putting on a fake lash, and I couldn’t make these work. I even tried cutting them in half and seeing if I could connect just the outer corner, but no. These actually suck.

Pacifica Sea Foam Face Wash

Picked this up on whim at Target. It didn’t remove my make up at all… The consistency felt really weird on my face, too.

Milani Conceal + Perfect All iIn One Conceal Kit

This was too try and not enough coverage.

Kokie HD Foundation

I hoped this would be a dupe for a high end foundation, but I was really disappointed. Nothing about it looked HD or full coverage to me.

KKW Beauty Concealer

Oh did I want to love this concealer. Like I really wanted to love it, but it kept creasing on me. No matter what setting powder I used, it looked like crap after a few hours. I will use this if I am running errands, and quickly want to cover my under eyes, but this isn’t a product I can count on.

Peacock Flare Waterproof Mascara

There was no flaring. There was only stumpy lashes. This dried up so quick and was a pain to take off.
