A new year means it’s time to reflect back on the year, and that includes beauty products for me.
Originally, I was going to choose a product for each category, but then I realized I was selecting a few products I didn’t absolutely love just for the sake of filling the category. So, the products below are my absolute ride or die, holy grail, cannot live without products. Let me know down in the comments which products you can’t live without.
To shop the products, you can click them in the photo below or from the scroll bar.
Flowerbomb: Hands down my favorite perfume. This is my signature scent. I know it’s pricey, but it’s totally worth it.
Translucent Loose Setting Powder: This has been my favorite setting powder for a few years now. I almost went with the Patrickstarrr one from MAC, but I know it’s hard to find now, and I’ve only been using it for a little over a month.
Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof: I’ve been on the hunt for a good black eye pencil for awhile now, and finally found it. This goes on super dark and doesn’t smear all over the place. I received a sample in my Sephora Play! Box, and purchased the full size in black and brown.
The Water Cream: I honestly credit this moisturizer for how good my skin has been looking lately. I’m amazed at how much one product can transform my skin. If there is one area I would say to splurge on, it would be skincare. Totally worth it.
Prep & Prime Fix + Makeup Setting Spray: This one doesn’t need much explanation. It’s amazing, and still my favorite setting spray. Some many brands are coming out with setting sprays (both high end and drugstore), but I have yet to find one that I reach for more than this. Seriously, I bathe in it.
Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer: I am so glad I found this little guy. The wand terrified me at first, but now I love it. On most days, this is the only thing I’m wearing in my brows. It keeps them in place and doesn’t flake off or smudge.
One Heck Of A Blot Primer: One thing I love testing out is primers. It can really make or break your look. So, it was actually pretty difficult for me to pick just one, but this is the primer that I consistently used the most this year. It fills in your pores, but doesn’t flake off like some silicone based primers do. This also works on my skin with I’m drier, like now, and in the summer.
Thickening Dryspun Finish Volume Spray: This past year I was switching back and forth between this and the Oribe one, and I have to say, I pick this one. The can is a lot smaller than the Oribe one, but I feel like I have to use less product with the Dryspun. I do really like the Oribe one, and will continue to finish my can, but won’t repurchase.
Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara: This is a no-brainer. I’ve mentioned this so many times. And not too sound too dramatic, but one of my worst fears is that they will discontinue this mascara, so whenever it’s on sale, I have to pick up a few extra.
Wet Brush: I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again; I love this brush. Besides a few round brushes, I got rid of all my other brushes. This is especially a must-have if you have extensions.
Amore Matte Lip Crème: I went with this over my theBalm Meet Matt(e) Hughes, because this year I wore more shades from Milani than theBalm. This line has great everyday colors, and if you need a good red liquid lipstick that won’t budge, try the one from this line.
Demi Wispies Natural Multipack: Pretty much the only lashes I wear anymore. The band is super thin and comfortable to wear all day long.
Hi Definition Photo Concealer Wand: Another one that really shouldn’t come as a shock. I honestly cannot tell you how many tubes I’ve gone through of this. I like it better than the Nars Creamy Concealer, and it’s a fraction of the price.
Betty-Lou Manizer Bronzer: Not a bad thing to say about this product other than, I wish it was sold at more places. There are so many bronzy products other there, but nothing compares to this. It makes your skin look so youthful and healthy. I always get compliments when I wear this.
Dry Shampoo: I have really oily hair, especially since I went from blonde to brunette. This is the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used, and I’m pretty sure I’ve tried every one other there. I love using this on freshly washed hair because I feel like it’s easier to stop the oil before it starts, rather than trying to reverse it. It also helps give my hair some texture at the root, which I need.
xx,
Nicole
